The Eye Behind the Work

A lifetime at altitude.

In 1996, Dirk Collins co-founded Teton Gravity Research, redefining adventure filmmaking and building one of the industry's most iconic media companies.

He later founded OneEyedBird, a boutique creative agency through which his Emmy-nominated work reached Disney, Rolex, National Geographic, Apple, and HBO.

Thirty years. Seven continents. Countless expeditions.

Now, through Planet 5, Dirk brings that lifetime of visual storytelling to fine art photography, creating work that celebrates mountains and the communities who protect them.

"I've spent the majority of my life filming and photographing mountain environments across the globe. The greatest threat isn't the people who live there, it's the systems that leave them out. Preservation photography is my response."
